  There is also Eurotunnel which operates a service every 20 minutes between Dover and Calais, as well as the TGV for those wishing to travel via train.

For those who prefer to fly, there are airports at Nantes (British Airways and Air France from Gatwick), Poitiers, Tours and La Rochelle (serviced by Ryanair from London Stanstead).
